Mission and Vision Documents

The mission of the Hermes Partnership is to utilise the members world class competence to:

  • Develop visions of and ways to implement the future of communications
  • Speed-up the definition of forthcoming technologies
  • Provide easy access to a broad range of cutting edge expertises

To realize this mission, the main tasks of the Hermes Partnership are:

  • Implement a close co-operation between the partners
  • Increase synergy between research organisations and industry
  • Initiate R&D projects and ensure exploitation of the results
  • Establish Networks of Excellence, to sharpen the focus in specific areas
